Monica Dowhaniuk:
Born in Regina Saskatchewan , moved to Calgary
Upon completion, Monica worked in the capacity as a draftsman in the oil and gas sector for about 10 years. As the industry evolved from the manual drafting world to one of computer generated graphics, GIS mapping, and software interfacing, this position morphed into a more technical roll. As a Sr. Exploration Technologist, Monica provided technical backup information to both senior staff and geo-scientists in order to support their scientific findings and develop their ideas into salable prospects within the oil and gas industry.
Monica has gained most of professional and personnel growth of her career by working for such companies as; Dekalb Energy, Apache Canada
Presently, as the sole proprietor of “Mondo Technical Services”, Monica is enjoying her part time consulting business that she runs from her home in N.W. Calgary.
3rd year student at Mount Royal University in the BBA program Majoring in Human Resources. Currently working as a Human Resource Administrator at Peak Energy a Clean Harbors Company. Has taken Entrepreneurship courses in the past, and also has friends whose parents own their own businesses. Therefore, has some knowledge of situations facing new business owners and obstacles that could be seen.
